Terms & Conditions
Sausage Saloon Win a MacBook Neo Competition Terms & Conditions
Terms & Conditions
1. Promoter
The promoter of the “Win a MacBook Neo” Competition (“Competition”) is Sausage Saloon Franchising (PTY) Ltd, registration number 2015/110887/07, trading as Sausage Saloon, with its principal business address at Block E, Hans Merensky Office Park, 32 Van Buuren Rd, Bedfordview, Johannesburg, 2007 (“Promoter”).
Competition enquiries may be directed to reception@sausagesaloon.co.za.
2. Competition Period
The Competition opens at 00:00 on 1 October 2026 and closes at 23:59 on 15 December 2026 (“Competition Period”). Entries received outside the Competition Period will not qualify.
3. Eligibility
The Competition is open to natural persons who:
- are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry;
- reside in the Republic of South Africa; and
- comply with these Terms & Conditions.
Directors, members, employees, agents or consultants of the Promoter, participating Sausage Saloon franchisees, marketing agencies or service providers directly associated with this Competition, and their spouses, life partners or immediate family members may not enter.
4. Qualifying Purchase
To qualify for entry, a participant must purchase either:
- a Local King’s Feast;
- a Local Wors Feast; or
- a Fiesta Deal,
from a participating Sausage Saloon outlet during the Competition Period.
The participant must receive and retain a valid Sausage Saloon till slip reflecting the qualifying purchase. No additional entry fee is charged by the Promoter.
5. How to Enter
To enter, an eligible participant must:
- make a qualifying purchase during the Competition Period;
- retain the original till slip as proof of purchase;
- scan the Competition QR code or access the official Competition entry page;
- complete all mandatory fields on the online entry form;
- provide the valid and unique till/receipt/invoice number relating to the qualifying purchase; and
- submit the completed entry form before the Competition closes.
Incomplete entries or entries submitted after the closing date will not qualify.
6. Multiple Entries
Participants may enter the Competition an unlimited number of times, provided that each entry relates to a separate qualifying purchase and a unique valid till/receipt/invoice number. Each till/receipt/invoice number may only be submitted once.
For clarity: one qualifying purchase = one entry. Purchasing another qualifying deal and receiving a new till slip creates another opportunity to enter. Duplicate receipt numbers will not create additional entries and may be removed.
7. Proof of Purchase
Participants must retain their original till slip or a clear photograph thereof until the Competition winner has been verified. A provisional winner will be required to provide proof of the qualifying purchase before the prize is awarded.
The Promoter may verify the receipt number, transaction date, outlet and qualifying product against the participating store’s point-of-sale records. If the provisional winner cannot provide valid proof of purchase, or if the transaction cannot reasonably be verified, the entry may be disqualified and another winner drawn.
8. Invalid Entries
The following entries may be disqualified:
- duplicate entries using the same receipt number;
- fabricated, altered or invalid receipt numbers;
- receipts that do not contain a qualifying deal;
- cancelled, refunded or voided transactions;
- entries relating to purchases made outside the Competition Period;
- entries containing materially false or inaccurate information; or
- entries generated through automated or fraudulent means.
9. Prize
There is one prize available. The verified Competition winner will receive one Apple MacBook Neo valued at R13,999.
The stated value is based on the retail value applicable when the promotional material was prepared. The prize image used in promotional material is for illustration purposes. The exact colour, specification or configuration supplied may depend on reasonable stock availability. If the advertised specification becomes unavailable for reasons outside the Promoter’s reasonable control, the Promoter may provide a comparable Apple product of equal or greater retail value.
The prize:
- may not be exchanged for cash;
- may not be transferred or sold for cash through the Promoter; and
- does not include any additional accessories, insurance, software, subscriptions or services unless specifically stated.
Apple Inc. is not the promoter, sponsor or administrator of this Competition and is not responsible for its administration.
10. Lucky Draw
One winner will be selected by random lucky draw from all valid entries received during the Competition Period. The draw will take place within 30 business days after the Competition closes. The selected entrant will initially be regarded as the provisional winner, subject to verification of eligibility and proof of purchase.
The Consumer Protection Regulations require an independent accountant, registered auditor, attorney or advocate to oversee and certify the conducting of a promotional competition. (Government of South Africa)
11. Winner Notification
The provisional winner will be contacted using the mobile number and/or email address provided on the entry form. The Promoter will make at least three reasonable attempts over five business days to contact the provisional winner.
The provisional winner may be required to provide:
- proof of identity;
- proof of age and South African residency;
- the relevant original till slip or clear photograph thereof; and
- any other information reasonably necessary to verify the valid entry.
If the provisional winner cannot be contacted, fails verification or does not comply with these Terms & Conditions, another winner may be randomly drawn from the remaining valid entries.
12. Prize Handover
Once successfully verified, the winner will be informed of the arrangements for collection or delivery of the prize. No payment or additional purchase will be required from the winner to receive the prize. The Promoter will retain appropriate proof that the prize has been awarded and received.
13. Announcement and Publicity
The verified winner may be announced through Sausage Saloon’s website, social-media channels, participating outlets or other official Sausage Saloon communication channels. The winner may be invited to participate in photographs, interviews or other publicity relating to the Competition.
Participation in such publicity is voluntary, and declining publicity will not affect the winner’s entitlement to the prize. South African promotional-competition regulations expressly require winners to be given the opportunity to decline marketing or publicity participation. (Government of South Africa)
14. Personal Information
Personal information collected through the Competition will be used for purposes reasonably connected with administering the Competition, including: processing and validating entries; preventing duplicate or fraudulent entries; contacting and verifying the winner; awarding the prize; responding to Competition enquiries; and fulfilling applicable legal and record-keeping requirements.
The Promoter will process personal information in accordance with applicable South African data-protection law and the Sausage Saloon Privacy Policy.
Entering the Competition does not automatically constitute consent to receive marketing communications. Where a participant separately chooses to opt in to marketing, their personal information may also be used for that purpose in accordance with their chosen communication preferences.
15. Competition Records
The Promoter will retain the Competition records required under applicable law, including the rules, promotional material, entry and draw records, details concerning the determination of the winner and proof of prize handover.
Current Consumer Protection Regulations require specified promotional-competition records to be retained for at least three years. (Government of South Africa)
16. Technical Issues
The Promoter will take reasonable steps to ensure that the online Competition entry mechanism remains available. The Promoter will not be responsible for entries that are not received due to circumstances reasonably outside its control, including internet, mobile-network or device failures, subject to applicable consumer law.
17. Competition Rules
These Terms & Conditions will be made available free of charge on the official Competition page for the duration of the Competition and thereafter as required by applicable law.
The Consumer Protection Act requires promotional-competition rules to be prepared before the competition begins and made available to participants on request without charge. (Government of South Africa)
18. General
The Promoter may make reasonable amendments to these Terms & Conditions where required by law or circumstances outside its reasonable control, provided that participants are not unfairly prejudiced.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude or restrict any rights afforded to consumers under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or other applicable South African law. (Government of South Africa)
